The Power Of The Pendulum

The power of the subconscious mind never ceases to amaze me. With the use of Chevruel's Pendulum (which I call the Magic Pendulum) to access the subconscious, one can create miracles.

I was teaching a class in self hypnosis at a local college, and after the class was over and the room cleared, one student came to me with a problem. For purpose of this article I'll call her Jane.

Jane: "Bob I have a problem that I can best describe as a phobia. I am so unsure of myself I think I have a "dumb" phobia.
Me: "Jane, you can't be dumb, you have an RN behind your name"
Jane: "I know but I'm always afraid to make a mistake"
Me: "It sounds like a mind imprint to me", I explained a "mind imprint" to Jane and her Sub. I had a pendulum with me so I asked Jane to sit at the table and hold the pendulum just above the surface. I explained to her that her subconscious was listening and that the to and fro movement of the pendulum meant "Yes" and a side to side movement meant "No" and if the pendulum wandered aimlessly it either didn't know or it did not want to answer at this time Thus we proceeded with the questions.
Me: "Is your name Jane?" (I do this to establish communication with the subconscious as well as to determine that the subject's mind does not have a different orientation for "Yes". (Occasionally a sub will go side to side for "Yes". (some subs are obstinate!)
In her case the pendulum moved in the normal "yes" movement.
Me: "Is Jane's problem caused by a mind imprint?"
Pendulum: "Yes"
Me: "Did this occur in the past ten years?"
Pendulum:"No"
Me: "Did it occur in the ten years before that?"
Pendulum:"No"
Me: "The ten years before that?"
Pendulum:"No"
As I continued to ask in ten year increments, I knew I was getting nearer her birth. 
Me: "Did this occur in another lifetime?"

Jane then volunteered a very significant bit of information - "Bob, I know that my birth was a very difficult one for my mother and they were considering aborting me." Then a "white light inspiration" hit me... 

Me: "Did this imprint occur in the birth canal?"
Pendulum:"YES" (I have never seen a pendulum swing so vigorously).
Me: Since we now understand how this imprint occurred and there is no need for this behavior in the future, are you willing to take this imprint away from Jane?"
Pendulum:Another vigorous "YES!"
Me: Thank you subconscious for cooperating with us and making Jane's life a better place to be." 
Me: "Jane now you understand that this imprint is gone"
Jane: "Yes, but shouldn't I feel happy or some thing?"
Me: "What do you feel?"
Jane: "I don t know, I guess I feel empty"
Me: "How marvelous. You have had this for 40 plus years and now it's gone and you feel empty... I guess you would feel empty." I almost cried having been privileged to witness this miracle.

The follow up of this story is when she came to class the following week she said "Guess what, Bob, I sang in church Sunday and made three mistakes and I didn't give a damn!"

I was so proud of her I gave her a big Hypnotheraputic hug.
