Glenn Harrold is a full Diplomate member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis, one of the most respected organisations in clinical hypnotherapy in the UK. Glenn is a very experienced clinical hypnotherapist who has helped hundreds of clients with a wide range of stress related problems.
Before becoming a hypnotherapist he was a performing and recording musician. Combining his hypnosis skills with an extensive recording expertise enabled him to produce a uniquely effective series of high quality hypnosis recordings.
Before becoming a hypnotherapist he was a full time musician and spent many a long hour in the recording studio. At the beginning of 1997 he began producing his first hypnosis tapes, primarily to help support the work he was doing with clients. He began looking at other similar tapes available and found most were poorly produced with many sounding almost homemade. He soon realised that there were many therapists making tapes but very few understood recording techniques. You can be a great therapist but if the recording is uncomfortable to listen to it will not be effective.
So he set out to produce a range of tapes that were well produced with the emphasis on being genuinely effective. Each was carefully scripted and recorded using sophisticated recording equipment. They were immediately successful and sold well everywhere they were displayed.
On the hypnosis tapes and CDs the listener is guided into a deep trance using clinical hypnotherapy induction techniques and 60bpm sound effects, which help to synchronise the left and right hemispheres of the brain and in turn create a very receptive learning state. Once the listener is in this optimum learning state they are instructed to repeat carefully worded affirmations relating to the title of the tape/CD. These affirmations, which slowly pan from left to right in the headphones, are a deeply relaxing and unique effect that is very hypnotic and helps the listener absorb each affirmation on a very deep level. This is also compounded with many post hypnotic suggestions throughout the recordings.
